Peasant opened up Brooklyn Vegan's Rock 'N' ROFL show last Thursday at Piano's.
Peasant's strengths seem to come from his humble stature, by letting his music speak for and through him. He has continued to display an astonishing ability to quiet nearly any audience with a simple acoustic guitar, an awe-inspiring vocal style, and a personality of timid confidence.
That pretty much sums it up. I really like his 2008 album On the Ground; "Those Days" is a track that is so invitingly friendly to the ears.
I didn't stay at Piano's long past Peasant because I was going to see Apes & Androids at the Hiro Ballroom. Hopefully BV will have another show with some more ROFL-capable comedians mixed in with excellent bands.
