Former Phish bassist Mike Gordon released a new album of original material last week. The album, called Green Sparrow, is his third non-Phish album (one was done with Leo Kottke). Mike and his band began a tour last week in support and on Wednesday played the Highline Ballroom. I thought the show was okay. The Set consisted mostly of Green Sparrow tracks and a couple interesting covers: The Doobie Brothers "Take It To The Streets" and C+C Music Factory's "Things That Make You Go Hmm."
Listen to some tracks on his myspace here.
