Finally caught Swedish sensation 2007, Peter Bjorn & John, Tuesday at Webster Hall. I'm always hesitant to fully endorse "bloggy" and hyped bands but after last night I feel I can definitely jump on PB&J's bandwagon.
I'm familiar with their latest release Writers Block; the band delivered many of that album's top tracks ("Objects Of My Affection", "Amsterdam", and the awesomely awesome "Up Against The Wall") in addition to some tracks off previous records. Au Revoir Simone's Heather joined in on the fun that was "Young Folks". Another show of theirs to see tonight - here's to hoping it's just as good or even better.
The U.K's Fujiya & Miyagi (awesome) and Brooklyn's Au Revoire Simone (snooze) opened. F&Y's music comes alive like Frampton in person...much more so than their studio material. I really wasn't feeling the laid back electro-stylings of A.R.S. unfortunately.
