Jose Gonzelez' 7:30 set at Joe's Pub was everything I thought it would be. He is an amazing guitarist - thumping bass notes with his thumb while his spider-like fingers play a melody line with ease. His subtle vocals cry out words of love. Joe's Pub was the perfect venue for him and his Nick Drake-ish like sound.
