Most people think 'TGIF' on Fridays...my close friends and I think 'T.J.I.F. - Thank Jah it's Friday'. I'm not really sure why or how this tradition began - other than we are all huge fans of roots reggae - however ever Friday it's always TJIF.
Today I begin a new Fresh Bread tradition - reggae Fridays. I'll do my best to post at least one, hopefully more, reggae song.
BOB MARLEY
Waiting In Vain - Yvette Tapes.mp3 - from the 'Yvette Acoustic Tapes', recorded in London sometime in 1976 at the flat owned by Bob's girlfriend, obviously Yvette. The tape features Bob with backing band, Sons of Jah. This is an incredible jam session, clocking in just over nineteen minutes!!! It's an amazing demo. I can't stop listening to it right now...
Where in the world did you unearth this? Simply awesome.
I look forward to more TJIF.

This is great, man!
I especially love that lo-fi bass sound, like I feel like I'm watching them record in The Harder They Come.

Justin:
I hope you are ready to listen to this over and over...you'd think that it would just sound repetitive but no...it's AMAZING.
