Earlier (real earlier) this morning, Olek did her thing to the Astor Place Cube. Unfortunately some jerkstores tore it down in the afternoon. Here are a few more photos of the Cube in full crochet.
Things happen in NYC overnight, kinda like last night in Astor Place. Olek, meet the Cube. The Cube, meet Olek.
How it happened:

Childhood dreams came true in June. Paul Simon, club show, nuff said. Oh yeah, David Byrne joined the fun for a couple songs - Talking Heads' "Road To Nowhere" and the classic Simon track "You Can Call Me Al" (with a David Byrne stage fall included). Full photos on Brooklynvegan.com here.
The Cars reunited and toured earlier this Spring (yes, its photo set catch up time here on FB) and I was lucky enough to shoot the show for Brooklynvegan. Though I was young during the band's most successful period, I always loved the Cars and was glad I could see them live. The hits sounded awesome, the new songs okay. You can see all of the photos on BV here.
Valley Lodge brought all of their hits to the Bell House Thursday night. All of them. Even future, unreleased hits were on display. You can probably tell that from this picture set.
Phish played a Father's Day show to end the first leg of their Summer Tour in Portsmouth, VA. I finally posted my photos. You can see the whole set here.
Brooklynvegan finally posted my photos of Old 97s set from his SXSW Friday Day showcase at Barbarella back in March. You can see the whole set here.
