via pitchfork, video of Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard singing songs at Game 3 of the Giants/Phillies NLCS this past Tuesday. I'm sure they both were wishing it was a Mariners post-season game though.
the above photos are from a Mariners / Tampa Bay Rays game I attend April 21, 2009 at Safeco Field in Seattle. Lucky enough to sit behind the love birds. You can see the rest of my pics here. Man, that is one gorgeous...stadium.
Fortunate to speak on a panel about concert photography today during the 2010 CMJ Music Marathon with some seriously talented folks. check out this link for more photo info on said fellow panelists as well as some good photo tips.
Benji Hughes stopped through downtown music production house Frisbie on Thursday for an intimate performance. There was great music and lots of laughter, mostly as a result of how great the songs and Benji's sense of humor are. See the rest of my photos here.
Finally getting my photos up from a Microsoft Advertising Week party featuring LCD Soundsystem. The band was great. The crowd....the crowd kinda felt disinsterested outside of the first 3 or 4 rows of folks in front of the stage.
Earlier this year I couldn't stop listening to Freelance Whales' debut album Weathervanes. The performed a "surprise" gig on the Bedford L-stop platform in Williamsburg - my photos were posted on Brooklynvegan.com here.
Die Antwoord played their first ever NYC show back in June as a part of the Vice/Intel Creator's Project. So far, its my show of the year. It was absolutely incredible, the energy of the band equalled by the hot, sweaty, and packed crowd. My photos were posted on Brooklynvegan.com here.
Beauty Feast played their first show at the Mercury Lounge back in August. On the bill were Memory Tapes, Twin Sister, and Oberhofer. My Oberhoffer and Twin Sister photos were posted on Brooklynvegan.com.
I've really been digging this band since I heard this song back in May. Hoping their debut EP comes out sometime soon.
