Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings - Beacon Theater 02.15.2007

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings brought the Daptone Super Soul Review show to the Beacon Theater last night.  Playing to a sold out hometown crowd, the 50-something Jones and her amazing band, the Dap Kings, tore through a funk'd out, soul'd up two hour set of some of their best songs.  Truly amazed by how passionate Jones' singing and dancing is on stage....overall, a great show.

The band is on Letterman on Monday then head out on a European tour.

In 2005, Arsenal FC (greatest football team ever) won the FA Cup by beating Manchester United at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.  The same trophy in the picture above made its way to NYC today (thanks Rick!).
