Wolfmother - Webster Hall 6.3.06

Thank goodness I perfectly timed my entrance into Webster Hall to coincide with  Wolfmother as they kicked into the opening tune of their Saturday night show, "Dimension".  The crowd was amped and sung right along with front-man Andrew Stockdale.  It was a raucous start to what would be a fiery, screaming performance by the band from down under.
Fact:  Wolfmother's sound was born by a rock and roll marriage of Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne.
Despite this obvious notion, Wolfmother's songs and energy are infectious.  Throughout the night, songs like "White Unicorn", "Love Train", "Woman", and "Apple Tree" really had Webster Hall moving and fist-pumping.  I think I saw some "bull horns" flying around too...

The band = visibly stoked to be back in NYC (this time with space-y background and lights for
the stage) and better than when I saw them at the North Six in February

the crowd = clearly ecstatic to be rocking to the sounds of Wolfmother
